Position Summary
Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially because they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

What You'll Do

Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicates with the team; and remains flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.

Be an Expert: Prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes and make‑up instructions, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; and demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.

Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.

Be an Owner: Ensures operational excellence, maintaining the work area according to company policies and procedures; ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items; secures fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the bakery area and modeling high‑quality service and products; executes basics at the highest possible level of quality; exhibits energy, commitment, and passion for the work.

The bakery associates prepare fresh baked items daily, wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies. They maintain a clean, member‑ready area, provide exceptional customer service, and follow recipes accurately while ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to stand for long periods and work quickly and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in bakery or food preparation

Familiarity with digital production tools

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Pay and Benefits
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*.*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
