Unit Information
Hematology/Oncology Clinic attached to Rapid City Hospital
Beds: 24 rooms in clinic
Average patients/day: 250 patients through the clinic per day
2+ years outpatient or ambulatory oncology experience (no acute-only oncology experience)
Travel experience: at least 1 year (no first‑time travelers)
Patient types: adults only – hematology and oncology patients; all types of cancers (solid tumor, hematology, GYN, brain, etc.)
EPIC: mandatory, at least 1 year recent EPIC experience (ambulatory EPIC highly preferred)
90% of the job will be phone triage and in‑basket management – prescription refills, patient questions, lab reviews, scheduling, insurance, physician and drug company communications
Partner with 1–2 physicians; support 3 radiation oncologists, 1 GYN oncologist, 7 Med oncologists,
6 APPS
, a pharmacist, CAs/MAs, and scheduling support3 radiation oncologists

Pharmacist in office for oral chemotherapy education
Clinical Aides (CAs)/Medical Assistants (MAs)
Total of 65 RNs/LPNs in clinic
EMR: EPIC (required)
First week: facility and unit orientation
Weekend rotation: Holiday expectations: closed on major holidays
Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0800‑1630
