Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Neuro Stroke

Location Bryan, TX | Acute Care – Telemetry / Neuro Stroke Unit

Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM) | Onsite

Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Tele-Neuro Stroke unit (part of a larger 66-bed telemetry monitoring pod) serving a large stroke population as well as patients with acute onset seizures and other neuro/cardiac etiologies

Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips in collaboration with on-unit telemetry/monitor technicians staffed 24/7

support overflow from medical/surgical and higher-acuity floors for telemetry patients as needed

Float within the three monitor pods (Tele, Tele-Observation, and Tele-Neuro Stroke) and occasionally between two campuses located approximately 16 minutes apart

May be asked to precept new staff as needed by the unit

Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)

Must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam (83% passing score) prior to contract start; Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 2 or more years of RN experience preferred

• Background in neurology and/or cardiac nursing
• Familiarity with stroke protocols and neuro-telemetry patient populations
• Supportive, traveler-welcoming environment with strong interdepartmental communication across all three monitor units and consistent access to unit leadership and resources
