TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Oncology RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121!

Registered Nurse – Oncology
Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Coverage Required
Provide direct patient care to a hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), and gynecologic and surgical oncology population
Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio within a specialized oncology unit, including a 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia patients
Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Alaris IV pumps integrated with Epic
Operate unit equipment including Alaris feeding pumps and SCD machines
Float to other units as required per facility policy
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology nursing
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as indicated on driver's license)
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred
Prior experience with BMT, acute leukemia, or hematology patient populations
Experience with Alaris IV pump systems in an Epic-integrated environment
