Architecture Review & Optimization Assess the current Snowflake-based data platform architecture. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in data transformation and processing. Recommend architectural improvements for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Code & SQL Review Conduct detailed reviews of DBT models, SnowSQL scripts, and transformation logic. Validate adherence to best practices in modularity, reusability, and performance tuning. Performance Tuning Analyze slow-running queries and transformation pipelines. Guide the team on Snowflake-specific performance features (e.g., Best Practices & Governance Establish coding standards and naming conventions for DBT and SnowSQL. Define data governance, lineage, and documentation practices. Recommend monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data pipeline health. Collaboration & Mentorship Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer in Snowflake and other Cloud DB environments. Strong hands-on expertise in DBT, SnowSQL, and SQL performance tuning. Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and PL/SQL is a plus for comparative analysis. 10+ years experience in data modeling ( logical and physical ), ETL/ELT design, and designing and implementing data warehouse , performance tuning and optimization. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation. Preferred Qualifications: Snowflake Architect Certification , DBT Certification. Experience in banking or financial services data platforms. Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
