Neurology Clinic Locums (Physician )

Locums Neurosurgery Eureka, CA (CA license required) Why This Role

• Defined coverage blocks across the holidays
• Clinic plus call, with APP support
• Complex spine case mix
• Temporary fluoroscopy certification acceptable Assignment Details
• Date blocks: - November 21 - December 8 - December 27 - January 5
• Schedule: Clinic and call, 8:30a-5p weekdays (daytime call included in regular rate), then night call 5p-8:30a; weekends 24-hour call
• Note: may not be in clinic all 5 weekdays during the blocks
• Call: Weeknight beeper + 24-hour weekend beeper, 20-30 minute response
• Volume: 5 patients/day
• Setting: Inpatient + outpatient, Level 3 trauma
• Support: APP and MA
• Guaranteed hours: 8/day; OT after 9 hours
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 90 days Clinical Details
• General adult neurosurgery including trauma
• Required: spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), ICP monitor placement
• Will see complex spine cases
• Preferred: tumors, VP shunt, external traction Requirements
• Board Certified (truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency considered, but BC preferred)
• Active CA license
• Active DEA
• Fluoroscopy certification required (temporary fluoro acceptable)
• No airway certifications required
• 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to privileges requested Compensation
• Rate negotiable, open to your number
