Working Title: OPS DENTAL HYGIENIST - 64964520

This position serves as an OPS Dental Hygienist on Volusia County's Dental Outreach Program operating in Volusia County.

You will be an instrumental part of breaking down barriers that keep some children from receiving much needed dental care.

This position works under the general supervision of the Public Health Services Manager- B SES in the dental outreach program and provides professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies and the general public.

This position will be assigned to the School Based Sealant Program providing preventative dental services for students inside elementary schools.

This position will provide education to community agencies and the public through community events and health fairs in accordance with the mission and vision of the dental program and the Florida Department of Health in VolusiaCounty.

This position requires travel between multiple work sites.

*If you have been licensed to practice dental hygiene in any state for at least 10 years, you may be able to obtain a Limited Dental Hygiene license in Florida and practice dental hygiene for the Florida Department of Health.

Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions

Must have experience providing dental assessments

Must have experience placing and evaluating dental sealants
