Performs direct patient care in the Emergency Room under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) according to established standards. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Louis Emergency Department

High School Diploma or GED required

Graduate of an accredited EMT-P/Paramedic program

New graduates and experienced paramedics are encouraged to apply!

Safety & Risk Management

Follow infection prevention and control protocols

Respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations

Identify and report facility maintenance or safety concerns promptly

Participate in competency training and quality improvement initiatives

Prioritize patient care needs alongside the healthcare team

Verify high-risk medications and manage medication infusions

Monitor and manage respiratory support devices

Point-of-care testing

Serve as a second verifier for blood products

Perform ultrasound-guided and external jugular IV placement

Operate rapid infusion equipment

Apply and remove restraints according to policy and patient safety standards

Utilize multi-line phone systems professionally
