WAREHOUSE INVENTORY PERSON

From picking and loading the correct merchandise to ensuring on time arrival and product setup, our supply chain team ensures that the final step of the Mattress Firm shopping experience goes smoothly. When you work in our warehouses, you’ll play a vital part in helping people sleep well so they live well every day.
Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
Stage deliveries.
Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning the parking lot and entrance to the building.
Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
Mop, sweep, and wash offices, bathrooms, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles to ensure cleanliness.
Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling materials.
Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Warehouse Environment
High School diploma or equivalent preferred

1+ Years of general warehouse experience preferred

General warehouse operations
Knowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection
