Paramedic Ambulance/ER

Candidate must possess MD/DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training to board certification, and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.Providing quality patient care to inpatient and outpatient Veterans- Approved clinical privileges in the areas of expertise as related to the Emergency Department (ED) and in all areas required to carry out the assignment duties and/or responsibilities
Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, both clinical and administrative
Facilitate the delivery of appropriate patient care in collaboration with other health professionals, staff, and management
Keeps informed of developments in the management and treatment of diseases/illness through continuing medical education, both formal and informal
Successfully integrates patient care activities on Medical Services and other patient care programs at the medical center and in the community such as Social Work, Prosthetics, Home Based Health Care (HBHC), and private nursing homes
Documents and rates administrative and clinical information in a thorough and accurate manner.
Completing all medical record documentation in CPRS within prescribed timeframes
Includes patient/family/significant other/health care provider in establishing realistic, measurable goals related to health education and treatment plan and in planning care on a continuum; Utilizes problem solving methodologies to resolve problems that impact on patient care or staff performance
Identifies acute/non-acute/chronic health problems.

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5 days paid for CME)
