Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Respiratory care is provided to patients of all ages in both critical care and non-critical care areas.
Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of worked or educational clinical experience in both general and critical care.
• 2+ years of hospital respiratory care experience preferred.

Respiratory Care.
Pulmonary Diagnostic Procedures.
Medical Gas Administration.
Ventilatory Support.
Bronchopulmonary Clearance.
Breathing Exercises.
Patient Education.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Airway Maintenance.
Education:

Associate Degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program required.
Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:

Current State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC) membership preferred.
Languages:

~ English (Read, Write, Speak).

Job Summary:
A Respiratory Care Practitioner performs designated respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental and hospital policies for the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
Job Responsibilities:

Perform respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures.
Administer therapeutic treatments and diagnostic testing using medical gases, respiratory equipment, environmental control systems, humidification, and aerosols.
Administer medications to the cardiopulmonary system.
Provide ventilatory support, including maintenance and management of life support systems.
Perform bronchopulmonary clearance and breathing exercises.
Provide patient education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Maintain natural and artificial airways.
Deliver respiratory care in critical care and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages.
Perform duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of client.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:

Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
No On-Call requirement.
No Floating requirement.
