Maintenance Technician - JLL
As a Mechanical Engineer (SME) at JLL, you will leverage your extensive mechanical engineering experience and over 5 years of operations expertise to manage and optimize critical systems in a high-performance data center environment. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of mission-critical infrastructure that supports our clients' data center operations. Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems specific to data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all critical infrastructure, including conducting regular performance analyses of facility mechanical and electrical systems
Lead root cause analysis for system failures or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and system upgrades based on engineering assessments
Propose and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and evaluate green technologies suitable for data center operations
Manage complex data center infrastructure projects, including expansions and upgrades, while collaborating with equipment vendors and service providers
Mentor and guide a team of facility technicians and engineers while communicating effectively with executive management on infrastructure status and improvement plans
4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance

• Proven experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment
• CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience
• 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel

Expertise in one specific craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, Material Handling Equipment)
Familiarity with building automation systems and fire/life safety protocols
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams
Work Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Must be available for call-in work as required)
