Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2215.08\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Med/Surg\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour rotating shifts with rotating weekends\n • Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed\n • Patient ratio of 6:1\n • 31-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit located in the Main Tower\n • Unit secretaries available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM with techs available on all shifts\n • Document using Meditech electronic documentation system\n • Utilize iPhones for communication via Immobile app with computers and scanners available in every room\n • Block scheduling available\n • Must have excellent physical assessment and documentation skills\n • Experience caring for acute care stroke patients required\n • Strong time management and critical thinking skills required\n • Knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs required\n • Well-established A.I.D.E.T behaviors required\n • Chemotherapy experience is a plus\n • Minimum one year of acute care experience required\n • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification\n • Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs with white or ceil blue jacket if worn\n • 50+ mile radius required\n Facility:\n This 328-bed acute care hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and participates in Medicare, Medicaid, and a number of commercial insurance and managed care programs.
