Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit
Location: Ottumwa, IA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health nursing and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care to adults aged 18-65. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required.
Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have Iowa SING BG clearance (Criminal and Child Abuse portions required).
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start; no instant or statewide searches accepted.
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both Child and Adult.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening, including opiates.
• Current titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB within the last 12 months.
• 2+ years of experience in Behavioral Health Units and Psychiatric care required.
