Per Diem - The Security Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for the patients, visitors and staff of Wellbridge. This position is eligible for applicable shift pay differentials.

Assist with new patient entry and security procedures

Assist intake/admissions team with new patients to the campus: recording personal belongings, calming families using de-escalation techniques and assisting with physical restraint as directed by medical personnel.

Monitor security cameras and alarms, looking for unusual occurrences and situations

Enforce all campus safety policies and procedures: no-smoking, no contraband, no alcohol/drugs or paraphernalia. Assist medical staff with inspection of rooms, confiscation and appropriate logging and disposal of same.

Maintain key control and access control on the Campus.

For patient care needs, this is an on-site role. Must be able to observe and inspect areas to maintain facility safety and security. Works in indoor and outdoor conditions. Move up to 50lbs with or without assistance. 8-hour and 16-hour OJT NYS Security Guard Program certification required

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of cameras, multiplexers and integrated security alarm systems preferred
• Hospital/healthcare security experience is preferred
