Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, with a preference for those with critical care and charge nurse experience. While entry-level candidates with a minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience may be considered, a strong understanding of emergency care principles and the ability to intervene in life‑threatening situations is essential.

Requirements:

License: Current New York State RN license

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer

Experience:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred

Must successfully plete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within 6 months of employment

IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation

Skills:

Ability to assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects

Proficiency in recognizing and addressing safety issues

Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively

Must function well under stress and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and munication skills

May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
