Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVOR position requiring an active NV RN license and 2 years of cardiovascular surgery experience.
Details
Work in the CVOR Surgery unit of a hospital with 4 dedicated CVOR suites among 23 total ORs
Features one hybrid OR room
Cares for cardiovascular surgical patients at a 1:1 nursing ratio
Day shift team includes RN, CST, CFA, and charge nurse while night shift includes in-house trauma and call teams
Typical procedures include CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, and vascular/thoracic surgery
Uses Meditech EMR
Scheduled shift is 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend rotation
On-call requirements include 2 on-call shifts per week and 1 on-call weekend per month
No floating required
Requirements
Active RN license (NV)
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular OR experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment
Scrubs provided by facility
Unit guidelines and policies reviewed during orientation
Scheduled the same as full-time staff to meet facility needs, which may vary week to week
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
