ENGINEERING TECH (ELECTRICAL)

Job Description At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services. This role will provide electrical engineering support to a dynamic engineering development team, decomposing test requirements, designing, integrating, and selling-off prime mission equipment and test stands, designing and executing first unit test, design verification test, integration, transitioning to full rate production, and sustaining complex digital, analog, RF, and optical circuit cards and modules.
The successful candidate must possess strong technical aptitude, communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally within the hardware organization and with other engineering disciplines/functions. Design of analog, power, digital, and RF circuits
Design of complex interconnects, cables, and test fixtures
Design of environmental controls for Environmental Stress Screening
Agile hardware development, risk-reduction prototyping, and requirements-driven design and verification
Knowledge of engineering development processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and testing to MIL-STD-461
State-of-the-art electrical engineering design/analysis/sim tools
Strong “hands-on” laboratory experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processes
Working experience with Interface standards including military/avionics communication buses (i.e. Interface with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause
Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation
Provide training and support to technicians and manufacturing personnel as required
Typically, a Bachelor's Degree, or 5 years work experience, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with electronic components and test equipment
Electronics testing and troubleshooting
Procurement, tracking, assembly, and integration experience
DOD Security Clearance
Industrial temperature or better (automotive)
CAD based schematic capture and simulation
Basic test software design and integration
Full-Time Salary Range: $70828 - $120408
This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
