Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy.
Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
Unit is a 30-bed unit when fully opened, currently operating with 18 beds due to renovations.
Patient ratios are 6-7:1.
Unit follows a team nursing approach with techs available on the unit.
Unit staffing includes unit secretaries on day shift.
There is an emphasis on having a free charge nurse to support the team.
Type of equipment is standard for medical-surgical units.
Documentation system used is Meditech.
Scheduling requires the ability to work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period.
Floating policy requires staff to float to similar units as needed.
Patient experience requirements include performing hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports.
