Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Floor in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing patient care in a general medical unit with a focus on teamwork and effective communication. Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 1 year of medical surgical experience; previous experience in general medical units preferred.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (AHA); at least 1 year of medical surgical experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry patients; strong teamwork and communication skills.
Float: Float rotation may be required based on staffing needs.
Additional Information: The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:6 on days and 1:5 to 1:10 on nights, with PCTs available 24 hours daily. The charge nurse is on duty 24/7 and may take patient assignments if staffing is short. Telemetry patients are monitored centrally via Phillips monitors; bedside RNs do not read strips. Orientation consists of 3 days.
