Contract (26-week assignment) | Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday rotation required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical patient population on a telemetry-capable unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
Administer blood products, manage peripheral lines, and perform IV starts
Administer Heparin, Insulin, and PCA; provide nasal cannula oxygen therapy
Maintain and apply isolation precautions as required
Utilize Rapid Response teams in accordance with facility protocols
Serve as Charge RN and float to other facility campuses as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
Must successfully pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts permitted; no study materials provided)
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license required to confirm address
Must be available to complete a full compliance file by 12:00 PM EST on the Wednesday prior to the start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
Familiarity with Rapid Response protocols and telemetry monitoring
Experience functioning in a Charge RN capacity
