SALARY: $18.00 Hourly
The Counselor delivers a range of academic, enrichment, recreational, and leadership development programming to participating youth through a Positive Youth Development context that fosters growth and learning, maximizes safety, and instills hope and motivation.

Responsible for the wellbeing of a group of participating teens (13-19+ years) throughout program hours. Ensures the safety of all participants throughout program implementation.
Creates a Teen Center curriculum for participating teens through activities focusing on leadership, college readiness, social/emotional wellness, literacy, and STEM
Attends weekly team meetings, training sessions by OCFS and others, parent meetings, and other assigned meetings to market the program and report on outcomes.
Maintains order and cleanliness of Oak Teen Center Lounge and Alder Gymnasium when Teens are in programs and activities
Respond to emergency situations i.e fire drills, evacuation, shelter in place, lock downs, etc.
Escort teens to various activities in the building and in the community when necessary
Facilities maintenance i.e disinfect room, equipment, light cleaning etc.
High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of expertise in direct afterschool program delivery required. High energy, dynamic personality and genuine passion for youth needed.
