Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly

Manufacturing Engineer, Kingston, NY area. Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations and production teams as needed. Maintain the integrity of manufacturing data systems, including change orders, non-conformance tracking, routings, and related documentation. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with departmental, site, and corporate objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost. Conduct time studies for assembly processes to establish accurate routings and optimize process balancing. Define, set up, prepare, and optimize job orders, manufacturing processes, and tooling. Provide technical support to customers as required. Collaborate with colleagues, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate product feasibility, and improve manufacturing processes and techniques. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturing equipment specifications, and test specifications. Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and material lists. Develop and deliver training on processes, procedures, documentation, and traceability to build and maintain workforce competency within assigned manufacturing cells. Maintain reliable and predictable attendance while contributing effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or operations environment. Knowledge & Skills Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and SolidWorks. Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Encompix is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated project management experience, including leading process improvement initiatives. Proven ability to implement Lean manufacturing practices and drive measurable improvements in an operational environment.
