Pivotal is the leader in the emerging market of electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. We design, develop, and manufacture light eVTOL aircraft and are renowned for the BlackFly aircraft the world's first light eVTOL to fly manned missions and enter the consumer market.

Our distinctive tilt-aircraft architecture and scalable platform have been flying for over 10 years. Last year we announced our next-generation aircraft, the Helix, which is rapidly progressing toward general release and scalable production in 2026.

Mobility is one of the most highly-valued areas of modern technology investments. As part of the Firmware Engineering team, you will drive the development and maintenance of the manufacturing test systems used for our eVTOL aircraft.

Collaborate with the systems engineering and other engineering specialty teams to define requirements related to the eVTOL aircraft and systems safety
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

• Experience with DO178-C regulatory Process
• One or more products from concept to aircraft production.
• Experience writing firmware (C/C++) for MCUs in embedded systems
• Experience writing python scripts and python development
• D. in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience with statistical analysis
• FAA Aircraft Certification Process

BLDC Motor Controller integration/testing
Lithium-based battery testing/monitoring
