Moab Regional Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dedicated surgical team. This is a full-time, employed position offering a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive orthopedic care in a rural community setting. The ideal candidate is a skilled, adaptable surgeon who values collaboration, autonomy, and the opportunity to help build and shape a growing orthopedic program.

Continuing Medical Education stipend

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program Board-eligible or Board-certified in orthopedic surgery (ABOS or equivalent)

Active, unrestricted license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice medicine in the State of Utah

Provide both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care, including consultations, procedures, and surgical interventions

Perform general orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacement, fracture fixation, and ligament/tendon repairs

Provide emergency orthopedic care in collaboration with emergency and trauma teams

Deliver post-operative care, rehabilitation guidance, and follow-up management

Provide on-call coverage to the Emergency Department.

Deliver high-quality general orthopedic care

Demonstrate adaptability and independence in managing diverse and urgent cases

Participate in hospital leadership and development of orthopedic service lines

Willingness to participate in outreach clinics

Teamwork and Community Engagement

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals

Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and referring providers

Participate in community health outreach and education initiatives to promote orthopedic wellness

Participate in community events as an orthopedic ambassador
