Graphics Art Illustrator

Overview The Graphic Designer at Sharp Manufacturing Company of America (SMCA), a manufacturing division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, will create various user documentation such as how‑to guides, references, manuals, packaging, POP, and instructions. The role manages product support printed materials, tracks development schedules to meet project goals, coordinates tasks with other departments, and maintains schedules to ensure completion. This in‑office role is based in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities Implement the conceptualization and development of graphics projects of high difficulty or breadth, including multi‑media, UI, packaging, manuals, and POP.

Contribute within established project criteria set by other business functions.

Oversee material, construction, color, surface finishes, manufacturing processes, and packaging in cooperation with production teams.

Work directly with Technical Writers and Industrial Designers to provide content, drawings, and technical input for printed layouts.

Coordinate and manage in‑house printing of production‑supported manuals and literature.

Qualifications Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.

Three to five years of professional experience in graphic design.

Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.

Physical demands: office environment; ability to operate standard office equipment, lift and move small parcels and packages.
