Structural Designer/Engineer

You will be a part of the Building Structures focused team, reporting to the Director of Building Structures. The position is located in the Chicago office and works on projects throughout the United States and various U.Take direction from senior engineers and project leads; Perform calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, and multi‑discipline coordination on a regular basis.

Conduct observations and evaluate existing conditions in both the field and with existing historical drawings.

Work on multiple projects concurrently, coordinating work between multiple EXP offices and outside consultants.

Occasional short‑term travel to project sites (usually a single night or two at a time).

Flexible hours and hybrid office attendance.

Targeted experience level is 0-3 years with a focus on building design.

Solid understanding of structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS.

Strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structures or relevant advanced coursework is a minimum requirement.
