We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our medical staff, assist with patient care, and contribute to the smooth operation of our practice. This position is located at our Panama City Medical Clinic. Perform routine diagnostic tests, medical treatments and procedures such as taking and recording temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure; preparing patient and collecting specimens for laboratory analysis. - Performs collection, documentation and processing of blood, specimen and/or urine samples as ordered by the medical provider and/or current standing orders. - Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids the physician/nurse practitioner during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. - Instructs patients on sample collection and testing. - Arranges for patients testing and information. - Formulates and updates patient care plans. Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas. - Participates in CLIA and OSHA compliance and monitoring. - Monitors emergency kit and oxygen tanks as required. - Maintains tracking, documentation and assistance in the completion of Uniform Data System (UDS), Healthcare Effectiveness Data and information set (HEDIS), and Care Gap Measures. Required Qualifications: - Must be a Certified Medical Assistant - 6 months experience of managing medical records, appointment scheduling, billing and coding - 6 months of using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience - 6 months of assisting with patient preparation, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and wound care []{style="margin: 0px;
