Substitute Night Shift Custodian

Easton, Redding & Region 9 Schools are seeking reliable individuals who will serve as substitute custodians in our five schools. Hours of work vary, but most shifts are 2 pm to 10 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm.

Salary/Benefits Substitute pay is $18.50/hour.

Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community

Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies

Fingerprinting/background check required

Reports To and Receives Instruction From Head Custodian and/or Lead Night Custodian

Job Responsibilities Include Cleans and monitors designated spaces and equipment in the building, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping and waxing floors; Unlocks and locks premises, secures windows and activates/deactivates the alarm systems

Cleans and maintains custodial equipment daily after each use

Helps in unloading of freight as needed with delivery to specified areas

Moves classroom furniture/boxed supplies as needed

such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks

Continuous use of hand strength to grasp tools and cleaning equipment and climb on ladders

Push/pull items such as tables, stacked chairs, bleachers, and/or cleaning equipment
