Job Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in critical situations while demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Position Details:
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Qualifications:
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required.
MEDITECH experience is required.
Travel experience is required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Critical care and charge experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations effectively.
Provide comprehensive care and assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
Recognize safety issues for self and patients, implementing appropriate measures.
Utilize assistive devices safely to move patients.
Function effectively in high-stress situations.
Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, prioritizing and delegating tasks as necessary.
Fulfill responsibilities as a charge nurse when required.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Certification Requirements:
Successful completion of lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation.
Defibrillation certification required within six months of employment.
IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
