This position combines engineering analysis, project consulting, field evaluations, and customer engagement to help organizations identify and implement meaningful energy-saving opportunities.The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with customers while applying technical knowledge to solve complex energy challenges across a variety of facility types.Why This Role Stands OutThis position offers a unique combination of engineering, consulting, and field work. Engineers in this group work on real-world projects involving HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, advanced controls, motors, and emerging technologies while partnering directly with customers across multiple industries.You'll have the opportunity to see the direct impact of your recommendations while helping organizations reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate energy efficiency opportunities for commercial and industrial customersPerform electric and natural gas energy savings calculationsConduct site inspections and equipment assessmentsAnalyze HVAC, lighting, controls, motors, and other building systemsSupport implementation of utility-sponsored energy efficiency initiativesProvide technical guidance to customers, contractors, and project stakeholdersResearch and evaluate emerging energy technologiesSupport program delivery, customer education, and outreach effortsCollaborate with internal and external teams to drive successful project outcomesPreferred QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related disciplineUtility, consulting, or energy services experienceKnowledge of ASHRAE standards and energy conservation principlesExperience supporting commercial and industrial facilitiesStrong presentation and customer-facing communication skillsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Berlin, CT.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.available for this temporary role may include the following:
