Journeyman Maintenance Millwright

MillwrightWood is currently sourcing for a Millwright to join our team in Port Lavaca, Texas. S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.ResponsibilitiesReads and interprets blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.Assembles and installs equipment, such as shaffing, conveyors and tram rails, using cranes, hand tools and power tools.Constructs foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement and steel.Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.May use transit and level for equipment setting.Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.Performs lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment.Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervision and employees.May be required consistently to work 12 hour shifts performing construction based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions.May be required, on occasion, to work up to 16 hours in a single shift.Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.About UsWood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors.
