Production Machinist (Temp, 2nd Shift)

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Level II for an opportunity in Spanish Fork, UT. This role is ideal for a hands-on machining professional with at least 3 years of experience setting up and operating lathes, mills, grinders, and related machining equipment to produce precision parts to exact specifications.
This Machinist position offers steady work, structured shifts, and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality production, development, and maintenance machining projects. Review engineering drawings, sketches, illustrations, and written or verbal instructions to plan machining sequences and determine proper tools, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods.

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and related machining equipment to produce parts to close tolerances and specifications.
• Perform machining operations such as turning, facing, boring, chamfering, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping, slotting, dovetailing, helical milling, and keyway machining.
• Machine ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys while following established quality, safety, and production procedures.
• Load, secure, and machine raw stock, grind cutting tools, drills, and bits, and maintain proper workflow within the work area.
• 23.00 to $24.00 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.
• 1st shift: 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, and grinders.

• Machine production, developmental, and maintenance parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Maintain safe work practices while supporting quality, production flow, and shop efficiency.
• High school diploma, technical or trade school training, or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to perform semi-routine and moderately complex machining setups and fabrication with limited direction.
• Strong knowledge of machining equipment, tooling, setup methods, and safe operating practices.
• Ability to calculate angular and linear dimensions and determine appropriate cutting or grinding tools, speeds, and feeds.
• and safely load, cut, and secure raw stock into machining equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality.
• Experience operating or setting up CNC machines.
• Experience grinding your own cutting tools, drills, and bits.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on machining equipment.
• Technical or trade school training in machining, manufacturing, or a related mechanical field.
