Diagnostic Radiographer - Radiology - Full Time -

Full‑time Radiologic Technologist in Dallas, TX (75243).

Assures and preps all materials, radiographic and other required equipment, are present and in working order

Positions patient, adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x‑ray of the specific body area requested by the physician

Regulates the length and intensity of film exposure

Implements infection control procedures for the work area

Distributes films to appropriate medical staff and transfers images to electronic medical records (EMR)

Maintains quantity and quality control checks to assure X‑ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy

Performs radiographic procedures for patients in surgery

Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed

Maintains radiographic supplies, film, and equipment

Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements

Performs other duties as assigned as per discretion of medical provider and facility

Knowledge of Computed Tomography (CT)

Knowledge of basic chemistry, film apparatus, and film processing techniques

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work and maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures

Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications

Ability to set up and operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment

Ability to clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment

Ability to perform high‑quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner

Ability to work independently by guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending one oneself to get things done

Ability to work with flexible scheduling and able to take call, if required

Must have reliable transportation for traveling if necessary

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies

Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)

Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

One (1) year of radiology experience in a healthcare facility
