Electrical Engineering- Senior

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development of new products and the enhancement of existing technologies. In this role, you will plan and lead medium‑scale design projects in the key areas (embedded hardware, automation, and controls), guide technical teams, and contribute to the full product development lifecycle for electrical and electromechanical systems used in medical devices.

You will collaborate across functions, evaluate results, support proposals and cost estimates, and deliver high‑quality engineering documentation and designs.

In accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, you will:

Core ResponsibilitiesApply broad expertise in electrical design and general knowledge of related engineering fields.Plan and execute electrical design and development assignments for medium‑magnitude projects.Deliver electrical designs through the full lifecycle—from concept to requirements, detailed design, verification/validation, and design transfer.Create electrical schematics, multilayer PCB designs, and electrical cable/harness designs.Specify electronic components and power supplies.Evaluate progress against technical and project goals.Provide training and technical support to internal teams and stakeholders.Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, testing, and analysis.Perform failure analyses and prepare investigation reports.Support proposal development and project cost estimation.Additional Engineering & Collaboration DutiesDevelop multilevel Bills of Materials (BOMs).Manage work schedules to align with project timelines.Collaborate closely with Software Development Engineers and non‑R&D functions.participate in supplier visits and process‑improvement initiatives.Coordinate testing with third‑party labs (e.g., NRTL, environmental, HALT).Use complex engineering test equipment and general laboratory tools.Apply electrical safety and ESD principles.Complete required training and utilize Fortive Business Systems tools.Perform other engineering duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentAssociate’s DegreeBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)Master’s Degree (preferred)PhD (optional)Years of Related ExperienceMinimum: 5+ years with BSEEPreferred: 3+ years with MSEEKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VisioFamiliarity with Microsoft ProjectStrong verbal and written communicationUnderstanding of project management principlesKnowledge and application of ALCOA principlesElectrical Safety & Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protectionCadence/OrCAD Capture and PCB EditorFamiliarity with PSPICEDesign for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT)Analog and digital circuit designHands‑on experience with digital multimeters and mixed‑signal oscilloscopesKnowledge of relevant Safety and Test StandardsResponsibility for Others & Internal InteractionsProvide technical supervision and coordination for Engineers and Technicians.Collaborate with Software Development teams and other internal/external departments.External InteractionsEngage directly with customers for Voice of Customer (VOC) studies or technical troubleshooting.Interface with third‑party contracting partners for engineering resource support.Work with third‑party suppliers for technical services, component sourcing, contract manufacturing, or testing.Standing: up to 30%Walking: up to 30%Sitting: up to 90%Kneeling: 0-10%Must be able to use personal protective equipment where required.Work EnvironmentDomestic and international travel may be required.Laboratory environment with exposure to electrical and technical equipment.Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Requirements
