Psychiatry, Full Time Psychiatrist

A community hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Addiction Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. The role offers collaborative, multidisciplinary practice within an integrated behavioral health setting.

About the Opportunity:

Shift:

Day shift

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Thursday

Hours:

8:00 AM - 8:00 PM; four 10-hour shifts per week or three to four 12-hour shifts per week, depending on coverage needs

Setting:

In-person; academic/community hospital environment

Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and addiction assessments

Diagnose and treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions

Provide medication management, including MAT/MOUD when appropriate

Deliver care in both outpatient and inpatient settings

Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Completion of an accredited Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship

New York medical licensure

DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances

Experience treating substance use disorders and dual-diagnosis patients

Desired Skills:

Experience in hospital-based addiction treatment programs

Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

Experience working within integrated behavioral health settings

Prior experience utilizing EPIC EMR
