Recovery Care Specialist

Play a critical role in leading our clients at our Rockbridge Treatment facility!

At Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, every role matters in helping people overcome addiction and find a new path forward. Looking for Full Time & Part Time Recovery Care Specialist (2nd shift 3-11pm)

The Recovery Care Specialist leads and supervises clients in the program, providing guidance and oversight of activities during the course of the work shift.

Client Supervision

Lead and supervise clients in the program on dorm floor(s), and during all duties and activities during the course of the work shift.

Relationship Building

Love and respect the clients, at the same time being firm and directive, pointing them toward their personal goals.

Provide spiritual care to program clients. Assist with lecture classes and GSNC/PT by grading and reviewing papers.

Prepare records of activities as required including logs, inventories and Incident Reports.

Maintain a driving record that is acceptable to Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge's insurance carrier.

When instructed to do so, complete client room search and document findings of any contraband.

When instructed to do so, provide drug and/or alcohol tests for clients and document the results.

Maintain regular building security checks and record the security checks in the facility log (more specific to overnight staff).

Monitor evening lights out, and conduct morning wake-ups to include cleanup, breakfast, morning devotions (more specific to overnight staff).

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; Exhibit strong commitment to the organization and dedication to the spiritual restoration of hurting adults and troubled teens as laid out in the mission statement.

Able to follow organization policies and procedures.

Able to stand on feet for the majority of an 8 hour shift.

Able to climb up and down three flights of stairs several times during a regular shift.

Able to walk during the majority of a regular shift.

Weekday 1st shift: (Weekday 2nd shift: (3-11pm): $1/hr shift differential ($1 + base rate of $17 = $18/hr)

Weekday or Weekend 3rd shift (11pm - 7am): $4/hr shift differential ($4 + base rate of $17 = $21/hr)

Weekend 1st shift: $2/hr shift differential ($2 + base rate of $17 = $19/hr) and Weekend 2nd shift: $3/hr shift differential ($3 + base rate of $17 = $20/hr)
