Job Summary

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Document patient care and use resources effectively.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
