Head of Facilities (Full-Time)

This position is located in a correctional facility.
Job Title: Facilities Manager - Correctional Facility
The Facility Manager shall work under direction of the Division Manager and is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the performance, operation, and supervision of technical maintenance staff including, but not limited to electricians, plumbers, HVAC, and general maintenance technicians. This position is located in a correctional facility.
Assist Division Manager in administrative matters including budget preparation, monthly reports, invoice payment, scheduling. Plan and maintain the strategy for workload analysis
Ensure that all policies and procedures and followed according to contract
Supervise activities of outside contractors; ensuring quality of work performed to established project specifications
Estimate costs or repairs and improvements for facility
Supervise or participate in maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment
Order parts and supplies for equipment and systems as needed
Work closely with administrative staff of facility addressing all concerns that arise
Monitor and control material and equipment inventories
Seek new and improved methods, policies, and procedures for enhancing the effectiveness of the facility
Follow up with client on activities or issues which may affect facility operations
Schedule and coordinate facility inspections
Manage other duties as assigned and as necessary
Prior people management experience
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Proficiency with the work order process. CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience a strong plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
7-10 years' experience in Property and/or Facilities Maintenance
~ Associate Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

State issued license in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or other relevant trade
~ 1-2 years' experience of Small Project Management preferred

This is a full-time, exempt position with normal working hours Monday through Friday, working 40 hours per week. However, as business needs become necessary, after-hours, holidays, or weekends may be required.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel.

This position is located within a correctional facility. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. Must be able to work in hazardous conditions while maintaining safety standards, work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, industrial settings, and construction sites, and work in loud environments and temperature extremes.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
