Mechanical Engineering - Contractor

Industry: Construction / Mechanical Systems
What they’re looking for:
7+ years of mechanical engineering experience , preferably within construction
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Strong field-based mechanical construction experience
Hands‑on knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems , including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, hydronic systems, heat exchangers, AHUs, and controls
Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems
Experience working on the General Contractor (GC) side and supporting project delivery
Strong project management, coordination, and contractor management experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering software
Strong communication and ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams
Experience that would be especially valuable:
Mechanical system installation and field execution
Understanding how cooling equipment, water, airflow, piping, and controls interact
Equipment startup, flushing, pressure testing, and functional testing
Controls integration and troubleshooting
Commissioning and turnover experience
Punch‑list resolution and turnover documentation
L2-L4 commissioning or systems integration experience
Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial construction experience
The ideal candidate will be someone who has actually been in the field , understands how mechanical systems are installed and integrated, and can identify construction issues rather than being limited to design or engineering‑office work.
