Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM MT (1-hour lunch)
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role requires accurate specimen collection, adherence to established procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality while creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws and specimen collection for laboratory testing.
Process and prepare specimens according to established procedures.
Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
Follow clinical and forensic collection protocols.
Demonstrate strong customer service and professionalism.
Work independently while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required); 1+ year preferred.
Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Keyboard/data entry proficiency.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related medical training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to support staffing needs, including occasional overtime if required.
