Buyer - Full time - Supply Chain Purchasing

Our well-respected manufacturing client needs a Buyer for their team! This full-time, interim role is perfect for a relationship builder with at least four years of experience.
Responsibilities of the Buyer
Acquire inbound materials and services in a timely manner
Manage formalized risk mitigation programs to reduce vulnerability of supply chain interruptions
Qualify suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships focused on availability, quality, and cost
Use Excel, MRP, and ERP systems to track purchasing activities
Drive internal procedure improvements and deliver training to those improvements
Assist with inventory control and perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications of the Buyer
4+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
Proven experience with ERP and MRP systems and MS Excel
