Emergency Medicine Physician

Position: PRN academic Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician (full‑time, employed) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple. This role includes a faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine with protected time for teaching, a competitive salary, performance bonus, comprehensive benefits package, and no state income tax.

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is part of an academic system with 42 emergency medicine residents and 36 faculty covering two emergency departments. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is our main site: a 48‑bed emergency department, Level1 Trauma, Certified Stroke, and Tertiary Referral Center with 640 inpatient beds, an 81‑bed ICU, and an annual emergency department census of 80,000 visits. Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center is a 20‑bed emergency department, LevelII Trauma Center for children with an annual census of 35,000 visits and 24/7 in‑house PICU support.

Qualifications

Doctorate Degree in Medicine

Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board

Board certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine, or actively pursuing board certification from the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
