Electrical Power Engineering

Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Mid to Senior Electrical Engineers, in our Englewood, CO, Casper, WY, and Billings, MT offices.

This position provides electrical and power design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.

A successful candidate will bring design, engineering, and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 45 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

You will participate in a multi-disciplinary project team in a lead role.

Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering

Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Electrical or Power Engineering, with Oil and Gas experience preferred.

Proficient with cable and conduit schedules, ETAP, power equipment sizing; Must have construction support, site commissioning, and start-up experience.

Must have experience specifying and procuring electrical equipment.

Must be able to train Junior staff, communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.

Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to expand knowledge base, teach others, and be detail-oriented.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is desired.

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

Requires composure and ability to prioritize and handle several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy

Occasionally climbing stairs and ladders to read meters at active oil & gas sites.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

Environmental factors mostly consist of work being conducted in an indoor office environment, but is not limited to extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites.
