Role Description The Curated Resale Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC, responsible for overseeing the process of identifying, sorting, and preparing items suitable for resale or upcycling. This role manages daily operations related to curated resale, including coordinating intake of items from removal teams, assessing quality and resale potential, and directing items to the appropriate resale, donation, or recycling channels. The manager will develop and refine processes for inventory tracking, pricing, and merchandising, and collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize resale revenue while supporting sustainability goals. In addition, this role will train and supervise team members, maintain operational standards, and provide regular reporting on performance, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.

Responsibilities Oversee daily operations related to curated resale, including intake coordination and item assessment for resale or upcycling.

Develop and refine processes for inventory tracking, pricing, merchandising, and quality control.

Provide regular reporting on performance, cost efficiency, and environmental impact; Qualifications Experience in operations management, preferably in resale, retail, logistics, or warehouse environments, with strong skills in process improvement and workflow optimization.

Ability to assess product quality and value, with familiarity in furniture, home goods, or secondhand markets and an eye for curation and merchandising.

Strong organizational and inventory management skills, including tracking, categorizing, and prioritizing items for resale, donation, or recycling.

Leadership and team management abilities, including training staff, delegating tasks, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory software, point-of-sale or e-commerce platforms) and comfort learning new systems.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with removal crews, resale partners, and internal stakeholders, and to document processes and performance metrics.

Commitment to sustainability and responsible disposal practices, with an understanding of donation networks, recycling options, and community partnerships.

High level of reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in Raleigh, NC, including occasional physical work such as examining and organizing items.

Relevant education or training in business, operations, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial;
