General Maintenance Repair Tech (Full-time or Part-time)

Paid training

Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.

Operate radio, cell phone, or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles and report disruptions.

Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.

Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around community grounds as assigned.

Complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles in a timely and cost‑efficient manner.

Carry out tasks such as fixing wall and/or floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, performing basic plumbing work, minor electrical repairs, repairing appliances, painting and refurbishing, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance, and “make ready” rooms as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.

Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.

One year maintenance experience.

General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance.

Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.

Availability to respond to emergency calls outside scheduled hours.

For positions in Florida, completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements is required. Applicants will need to complete fingerprinting and background screening through the AHCA Clearinghouse.
