Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Care - Nights

Registered Nurse - MedSurg and Cardiac ObservationThis is a 13-week contract position.12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in a busy MedSurg and cardiac observation unit. The nurse will manage a variety of cases including pre/post catheterization patients, chest pain rule outs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF), pacemaker management, and arrhythmias.ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications and manage IV drips, including set-rate Cardizem and Amiodarone.Monitor vital signs, EKG readings, and respond to changes in patient conditions.Provide patient education and discharge planning.Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care.Assist in diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, bladder scans, and FSBS.Manage patient care by effectively coordinating with nursing aides and support staff.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent RN license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Ability to read cardiac strips and experience with Cardizem and Amiodarone.Experience with TR Bands is a plus.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
