Job Description
Registered Nurse - Med/Surg
Schedule
Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with the option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
Assignment Details
Contracts are available for 13-26 weeks. The maximum allowable request time off (RTO) is 7 days.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
Certification in BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
Experience with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Proficiency in bowel obstruction care, colostomy/ileostomy management, and feeding tube management.
Knowledge of renal failure management, blood product administration, and central line management.
Experience with wound care, including Vacuum-Assisted Closure (VAC) therapy.
Familiarity with oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management.
Ability to float to other units as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and monitor patient conditions.
Administer medications and manage intravenous lines, including starting and maintaining IVs.
Conduct assessments and document patient care accurately.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in rapid response teams and code blue situations as required.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
