• The Pharmacist 3 works in a clinical setting, providing vital pharmaceutical care to patients. This role includes preparing and dispensing medications according to regulations and policies. The incumbent also serves as a resource for healthcare professionals like pharmacists, pharmacy students, and resident trainees. Another major aspect is consulting for Nursing, Medical Staff, and patients on medications, orders, pharmaceutical details, reactions, and complaints or errors. The role may include specialized duties like serving as the Residency Program Coordinator, entity stewardship, operational support, or managing Investigational Drug Services.

Ensure patients receive high-quality pharmaceutical care that is safe, effective, and upholds their rights.
Compound and mix ingredients as needed, following all policies and procedures. Dispense medications and compounds, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in their non-professional duties, ensuring their work aligns with professional standards.
Assist with inventory, purchasing, and quality control of medications. Maintain accurate records and properly charge or credit pharmacy product accounts.
Regularly keep track of narcotics and other drug inventories and records as mandated by law.
Knowing pharmacy care practices, medicinal calculations, terminologies, sterile techniques, standards, medicines, and their usage is beneficial.
The employee should have a knack for researching, scrutinizing, and sharing vital pieces of information.
The employee needs to be familiar with relevant federal, state and regulatory norms that apply to this field.
Basic computer skills include using software, entering data, ensuring security, documenting medical info, using scanners, and sending emails.
The applicant needs to have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
Alternatively, completing Residency Training can substitute this requirement.
