Overnight Direct Support Professional Full/Part Time and Weekends

Special Recreation Services, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) non-profit company is currently taking applications for PART-TIME DSP positions in Carbon, Monroe & Northampton Counties working 1:1 taking adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Autism into their community for recreation, socialization and habilitation such as bowling, art class, exercising, hiking, shopping, movies, swimming, dance class, bingo, volunteering and much more.

You must be 18 or over with HS diploma or GED.

Applicant needs to have a reliable vehicle and feel comfortable transporting individuals in their own vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS rate of 72.5 cents per mile and there is no daily limit).

Applicant must have a valid PA drivers license, PA insurance, PA registration, current PA inspection/emissions and be able to pass a drug test.

Applicant must pay for and provide to us a criminal background check, and a PA child abuse check. After 3 months of continuous employment, applicant will be reimbursed when receipts are provided.

Applicant must be compassionate, kind, patient and flexible. Hours would be working weekdays Part Time to start but could lead to Full Time (times are typically anywhere between 9 am - 5 pm or a variation) plus some weekends when necessary. We do not have any positions working overnights and we are NOT a residential provider. Depending on experience, hourly rate ranges from $15 with no experience working with ADULTS with intellectual disabilities and/or autism to $18 with 3 or more years of experience to start. Must be able to fulfill 24 hours of paid, online trainings within 1 week of hire. Applicant must have access to a desktop computer or laptop plus access to the internet or wifi to complete onboarding and trainings.

MUST BE knowledgeable WITH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY including GPS, Zoom, Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, using email, Google chat, and with Android devices.

After 3 months of continuous employment, you will be eligible for free dental and vision (must work at least 20 hours a week), 401 K matching, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
